Spaulding Repairs Complete: Water Deliveries to Resume

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has completed ongoing infrastructure repairs at Lake Spaulding Powerhouse No. 1 and resumed water releases into the Drum Canal system. As a result, PCWA is preparing to restore full water deliveries to the affected untreated water customers.

French Meadows Partnership Enters Seventh Season of Forest Resilience Work
With California’s fire seasons growing hotter and drier, crews are returning to the high country for the seventh season of work on the French Meadows Forest Restoration Project (Project)—a pioneering public-private effort to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire in the American River watershed, a critical water supply for the region.

PCWA Preparing to Restore Full Untreated Water Deliveries Following PG&E Repairs at Lake Spaulding
PCWA is preparing to restore full untreated water deliveries to customers following PG&E completion of repairs at Lake Spaulding Powerhouse No. 1 and resumption of water flows into Rollins Reservoir beginning July 24. With flows now refilling the reservoir—a key source for PCWA’s canal system— PCWA anticipates full service for affected customers will resume by August 15.

PCWA Completes Indian Bar River Access Improvements
At its June 19 meeting, the PCWA Board of Directors authorized the filing of a Notice of Completion for the Indian Bar River Access Project, just in time for peak summer rafting and fishing season. Located near Foresthill, the improved site provides safer and more convenient access to one of California’s premier whitewater rafting destinations.
