PCWA Board Accepts Gray Allen's Letter of Retirement
At the March 19th meeting, the PCWA Board of Directors accepted a letter of retirement from District 1 Director Gray Allen. Allen, who has served on the PCWA Board since 2006, indicated his retirement will be effective April 15, 2026. In response to Allen’s retirement, the Board reflected on his long-standing service and his contributions to the agency and the communities it serves.

PCWA approves Woodcreek Intertie Agreement to Strengthen Regional Water Reliability
At the Feb. 19th meeting, the PCWA Board of Directors approved an agreement with the City of Roseville for the operation and maintenance of the Woodcreek Intertie, a connection between the two agencies’ water systems that provides a backup option in the event of emergencies or planned maintenance. The agreement strengthens regional water reliability for western Placer County and reflects a long-standing partnership focused on long-term planning.

PCWA Board Reviews Ophir Water Treatment Plant Program, Capacity Needs, and Regional Development Update
At the Feb. 5 meeting, the PCWA Board of Directors received a workshop update on the Ophir Water Treatment Plant program, a long-planned new treated water facility that will add 10 million gallons per day (MGD) of capacity in western Placer County. Staff reviewed why the project is needed now, as existing facilities approach their limits during peak demand, along with updated cost estimates, the funding approach, and the project schedule with the goal of being fully operational and producing treated water in 2030.

PCWA Honors Congressman LaMalfa and Advances Water Forum 2050 Agreement
At the Jan. 15 meeting, the PCWA Board of Directors honored the life and legacy of Congressman Doug LaMalfa, a longtime representative of Northern California and a steadfast supporter of PCWA’s mission. The Board also approved the renewed Water Forum 2050 Agreement, a 25-year extension that guides water management and environmental stewardship in the lower American River.
