PCWA is currently participating in the Sites Reservoir Project, a planned off-stream reservoir in Northern California. The Sites Project Authority is pursuing a water right permit from the State Water Resources Control Board. The RiverArc Project, dedicated to improving regional water supply and wildlife resilience, has secured a $5.1 million grant from the Wildlife Conservation Board. This funding, obtained on August 24th, will support efforts to maintain streamflow in the Lower American River by strategically shifting water supply diversions to the much larger Sacramento River. A project to replace nearly a half-mile of water main under Midas Avenue in Rocklin was set in motion Thursday by the PCWA Board of Directors.
