The Placer County Water Agency conducts an ongoing program of public information to keep customers, the general public, other agencies and the news media up-to-date on Agency programs and activities. The PCWA Board and staff believe it is the responsibility of a public agency to report to the people it serves. The Agency distributes news releases on Board meetings, water service emergencies or interruptions, various programs and projects and other items of current interest. A bi-monthly water system customer newsletter is distributed as an insert with water bills and also mailed to interested citizens, governmental officials, and the media. The Agency also maintains a video channel where you'll find the latest PCWA videos about our history, water efficiency, careers and more.

PCWA's project, the Auburn Tunnel Outlet Modifications, was awarded the 2013 Project of the Year Award. The project won in the $2 Million to $10 Million Large Agency Division, in the Environment Category. The American Public Works Association (APWA) Sacramento Chapter Awards Program acknowledges public works projects that display excellence in management, administration, design, construction and community relations, as well as the alliance among the managing agency and the consultant/engineer/contractor who worked together to complete the project.
